Hyundai IONIQ 6 Expected to Arrive in Sri Lanka Q3 2026

The Hyundai IONIQ 6, which won the prestigious World Car of the Year award in 2023, is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka through select grey market importers in Q3 2026. The vehicle's aerodynamic design, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.21 Cd, sets it apart from competitors. The IONIQ 6 Standard Range RWD is expected to be priced around Rs. 28-30 million, while the Long Range AWD variant could command Rs. 38-42 million. Its 800V architecture enables ultra-fast 220kW DC charging, adding 100km of range in approximately 5 minutes. Hyundai is also reportedly exploring establishing an official dealership in Sri Lanka, which could make the IONIQ 6 available through official channels by 2027.
